Strategic Value Partners, LLC and its affiliates (“SVPGlobal”), a global investment firm with approximately $8 billion of assets under management, today announced that it has rebranded the food ingredients and biofuels business it purchased from White Energy in April 2019. The new company will be known as PureField Ingredients, reflecting the company’s commitment to producing quality food ingredients and biofuels from pure, natural Midwest grains.
PureField Ingredients includes the largest vital wheat gluten manufacturing facility in North America, and one of the most cost-efficient ethanol production facilities in the United States. It operates there primary lines of business:
Food Ingredients: PureField Ingredients sells vital wheat gluten under the Heartland brand name. Heartland is the most trusted brand of vital wheat gluten in America, delivering high quality, high protein ingredients to leading consumer food and pet food manufacturers. Heartland is sold through national distributors and direct to large food manufacturers.
Biofuels: PureField Ingredients produces ethanol with the lowest carbon intensity ratings in the nation. Its clean, high-octane fuel plays an important role in helping the United States reduce harmful emissions and lower the cost of gasoline. PureField Ingredients transports more than half of its ethanol to West Coast markets where low carbon fuel is in high demand.
Animal Nutrition: During the production of food ingredients and biofuels, PureField Ingredients captures byproducts that are converted into animal nutrition products with high sources of protein and fiber. These high-quality, low-cost products — including wet distillers grains, dry distillers grains, and wheat midds — are an alternative to traditional livestock feed.
